The 2012 season is upon us, and as you all know the club cannot run without the efforts of the committee , coaches and managers. We are fortunate to have a very progressive committee at the moment and with our talented coaches and managers the 2012 season looks set to be our best yet.
Every season a number of these committee members, coaches and managers move on and we therefore need to start planning now for the continuation of the club.
North Lakes Soccer Club Inc aims to foster, develop and encourage the playing of soccer for the benefit of the local community with a primary emphasis on junior participation in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and friendly competition between all concerned. Our desire is to inspire youthful participation with the fundamental principles of teamwork and fair play, whilst retaining a focus on fun. The Club currently plays all junior teams within in the QCSA League and abides by both the spirit and law of that association. The Club also fields senior men’s teams in the Baptist Football Queensland (BFQ) Saturday afternoon competition and previously had women's teams, and would love to have again.
As this season progresses we would ask you to please give serious thought to taking on a committee position in 2013. If sufficient committee positions are not filled the club may not be able to go ahead next year. Considering we believe we are the largest community sporting organisation in the North Lakes/Mango Hill area this would be a tragic loss.
We are very fortunate to be the major tenant of Woodside Oval and we have established a very good relationship with Moreton Bay Regional Council to maintain Woodside Oval as our home ground.
To keep it we must actively promote the club externally and internally, and this includes seeking out members who might consider taking on an official role with the club. We realise that a lot of you would be unsure of what you would be required to do and when to do it.
Everyone who has volunteered before you have had these same thoughts also. All the current committee, coaches and managers would be more than happy to advise you on anything you need to know.
